B&W T7 Speaker Review

My partner & I were looking for solution to play music in our 2 bedroom unit while waiting for our new home to be built.

I’d recently sold my home and I had a really nice system professionally installed which consisted of a powerful Yamaha amp, Mirage nano sat speakers, Energy sub and Oppo disc player. So I was kinda used to a decent level of sound.

All this equipment will be installed in our new home. That’s a long way off so we needed something now that sounded good and also we wanted to steam music to it via bluetooth.

So I started looking around at bluetooth speakers. There’s loads of options out there from cheap to expensive. The majority I found to be base heavy, very loud but lacking in detail. I then had a chat to George at Abtec Audio Lounge.

He suggested I come in and have a listen to a few different speakers. I’m glad I did. The 2 speakers that eventually it came down to was the Klipsch KMC1 & the B & W T7. The Klipsch was well priced at $249.99 on special from $499.95. It sounded good. very loud with big bass and decent detail. Then we tried the T7 from Bowers & Wilkins. This speaker retails for $849.00.

It was on special for $699.00. This by far was the most expensive speaker I listened to. It was also the best by a very large margin. This speaker delivers sound and levels of detail that no other blue tooth speaker I tried could match.

The bass is crisp & clean and never over powers the music or singers. This is a audiophiles speaker and truly sounds amazing. It looks cool too with the micro matrix surround encasing the driver units. I’ve only charged it up once as it has an 18hr standby once fully charged.

Yes this speaker is probably one of the most expensive bluetooth speakers around but it is simply the best. I do suggest if you are going to purchase one also order the hard case as well to protect it when not in use. I probably would of purchased it at $849.00 because its so good so $699.00 from the team at Abtec is fantastic.
